Japanese style hot tub + camper van = bliss!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Just a tad excited! Our custom bath tub insert and water tank arrived from Queensland today!

We had our heart set on having a bath in our camper van, to satisfy my personal hygiene obsession and for Frank to relax on a hot (or cold!) day, in the comfort on our own van! We scratched our heads on design ideas, practicality, cost and space. Then we found Mick from Award Tanks! 8 days later, our very own custom made tub insert! All we have to do is frame her out, pop some timber around the edges to give it that hot tub feel, a little plumbing and away we splash!

At 80cm x 80cm x 85cm, we went with the bigger is better mentality for this aspect, as we’ll custom make a timber top, which will double as a dining table, work space, bed side table, kitchen prep bench…the list goes on!

We cannot tell you how excited we are that we can both fit in this little beauty with ease! Camper van doesn’t necessarily mean you have to rough it, after all, Lucy is a glampervan :p
