Had to get some floral in there somewhere ;)
With my past life of being a wedding florist and with my forever love of flowers, floral prints, pastel tones and lace, it seemed only appropriate to dedicate an area to my loves!
The sliding door seemed like a good place! So, with some eco print patterned paper, some glue, lace and a few hours later….voila – we have a pretty door!! Well….it wasn’t quite that easy! Around 3 or 4 attempts of putting the backing onto the door (and getting it to stay put!) as we weren’t keen on drilling into the door. First attempt Frank accidentally used “no more gaps” filler rather than an adhesive, then painstakingly scrapped it all off….2nd attempt – sikaflex (hits self in head with hand!) 3rd attempt (now my turn) and I glued it on back to front…then closed the door all pleased with myself…til the next day! 4th attemptĀ “FRANKKKKKK…..I need the drill!” Ok…so now attached and then for around 4 hours of gluing paper, piece by piece, then the day after, individual strips of lace. Then a waterproofing spray – for which I had to take a huge breath, run into the van, spray like crazy, run away – breath again!!
Definitely worth it!
