One step closer to a kitchen!
We now have a lovely hole in our benchtop (yes, that’s a good thing!!) First a template in cardboard to make sure we get the size right, then template onto timber – then time to cut!!
Sink is perfect! 34cm x 32 cm x 18cm deep. Was actually really difficult to find a small sink, that wasn’t too deep, didn’t have a huge lip, didn’t have a dish drainer section, didn’t have a tap hole etc etc. We did find one at a retail plumbing store – FOR $400!!!! $400!!! Ahhh……no!! EBay $42 including local shipping – perfecto!! Doesn’t sit 100% flat, but nothing a bit of silicon can’t fix 😉
Our lovely eco organic cotton curtains are up!
Now back onto the water tanks and after a 3rd visit to Bunnings, we have had to readjust our thinking and have the tank fixed in and refiled with a hose. We really did prefer to be able to disconnect and take it out to fill, but, it’s just not possible with all of the components and the connections available. But, that’s ok.
Next hurdle – our tap on/off switch is a little temperamental. We’ve pulled it apart, put it back together, rewired it…still no good. Think a replacement tap is in order…
