Organic cotton curtains
Frank chose some lovely fabric for our kitchen curtains to block off the main cabin, and how perfect, the fabric is 100% organic cotton!
Rather than hand sew these, we had the wonderful help of our dear friend Nat, who came over, sewing machine in hand, and whipped up those puppies in a matter of minutes!! Definitely a better choice rather than my dodgy hand stitching on the back curtains! Mt excuse was that we only had 1 curtain and I was trying to make 2 out of it, so didn’t have enough width to hem! Instead…I used pva glue (Frank in the background “you make a real dodgy one mate”)! Then after attaching them to the string…a little Velcro to hold the sides in place (and hide the fact that they are too narrow). First hot day….Velcro comes off….mannnn!!!!! And let’s not even talk about the bottom hem. Can we even call that a hem?!
Anyhow, hence us taking Nat up on her offer of sewing the next curtains for us. And I think my mum will be fixing the back curtains (**cringe**)
Thanks Nat!
